Dr. Pfost received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loyola University in Chicago.  After a 2-year enlistment in the Army Dental Corps he returned to his native Boise and practiced from 1971-2007 and championed the use of non-mercury restorations.  Dr. Pfost has recently returned to his dental practice after a short retirement during which he continued to serve the community by volunteering his time at the prison, something he continues to do in his spare time.  He is active in continuing education and leading edge technology, which allows him to continue to serve his patients with the quality dental care they deserve.

Erlinda , Dental Hygienist....... Erlinda is a Spanish/English speaking Dental Hygienist.  She graduated from Carrington College and has been practicing for 2 years.  She has a passion for education and has enjoyed working with the spanish community on the importance of dental prevention.  She has volunteered many hours at Genesis World Mission and thoughout the Treasure Valley.  She has been in the military for 16 years and is proud to be a member of the Idaho Air National Guard.

Amber , Dental Assistant

Amber was born and raised in Boise. She enjoys assisting for the confidence, variety and challenges this practice has offered her. She worked part-time for the office as a sterilization person in the early 90's and has been a full-time team member since 1994.  She is the mother of Cameron, Stormi, and Evan and she is engaged to Brad who has twin boys, Caleb and Cody and a daughter Chandler.  She is also grandmother to her first grandson, Shayn.  Her family enjoy boating, snowmobiling and spending time with their friends.  Her creative side involves sewing and ceramics and her most recent hobby is learning how to make candles.

Amber really keeps the office going. She is organized , a hard worker and has the responsibility for making sure that we have everything when we need it and that it is all repaired and working. This may seem like a small task, but when you see our inventory of all the little supplies that it takes to have on hand for each appointment, you find that it is a really big assignment. She is in charge of the treatment area and hires and trains the other employees in that area.

Amber did on-the-job-training here in the office. She studied very hard and has completed all the requirements of a dental assistant. She took the Dental Assistant Fundamentals exam at BSU and has also taken all the classes for her Expanded Duties Certificates.

As you can tell, Amber is an integral part of this office. The patient's love her and so do the other staff members. We are lucky to have her.

Sharon, Office Manager

Sharon grew up on a farm outside of Emmett. She was the youngest daughter in a family of 9, so as you can imagine, she grew up very spoiled by her older brothers and sisters. She was very active in school, church and community projects and loved singing in a trio with two of her friends. She graduated from high school, married and began her family. She now has 3 grown,  8 grandchildren that she adores and 1 great-grandchild.

She spent 8 years in the Rexburg, ID area where she worked for Merrill Rudd, CPA. He was her friend and teacher and really gave her a start in the direction which has become her lifelong profession. She moved to Boise in 1976 and has lived here since. She began working in the dental office in September 1982 and has enjoyed the many years association with all the wonderful patients.

In June 1997, she married Dennis. They have had lots of fun together working, traveling, tending grandchildren and whatever else comes along.

In the fall of 2001 she signed up for the "Block of the Month" at The Quilt Crossing and this started a new interest in quilting. She purchased an embroidery machine and a serger and has had fun not only in creating things herself, but assisting her granddaughters in learning to sew.

Sharon loves working on the business side of the medical profession. She enjoys being able to participate in helping people to feel better and to feel better about themselves. Cosmetic dentistry is especially fun because it does so much to improve a person's self-esteem.

If you ever have a question or need help with anything having to do with the office, Sharon is the one to ask for. She will make sure that you get the assistance that you need.

Lorena, Receptionist/Dental Assistant

Lorena was born and raised in Mexico. She married and came to the United States to live and has been here ever since. In 2004 she graduated from the American Institute of Health & Technology (now Carrington College).  She has been working in the front office for the past 7 years.  Her bilingual skills have helped so many people in the community.  She loves getting to know our patients and their needs.

Lorena has 2 children, Kalia & Alex.  In her free time she enjoys knitting, crocheting, watching TV, reading a good book and spending time with family and friends.

Lorena has been an excellent addition to our office.
